After forging many trusted long-term relationships with end buyers and sellers of commodities across the globe, our principals decided to pool their experience and specialist knowledge under the umbrella of Starburst Metals. One of our fundamental objectives is to gain a strong and trusted reputation in the base metals market as an intermediary that can work closely with mining companies, and introduce credible buyers to them in a way that can assist our mining partners to achieve successful year-on-year sales growth.

One of our principals, Christoffer Billung, is responsible for our offices based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and Oslo, Norway. He has extensive knowledge of local working practices and procedures in Dar es Salaam and in Northern Europe having run his own successful import/export business in Tanzania for a number of years. Christoffer, who is originally from Sweden, has built and maintained an extensive network of vital contacts across Eastern Africa and Northern Europe.

Our other principal is Christopher Gibbons, who is English, and who oversees our UK office which is based in the North West of England. Christopher is a qualified lawyer who, after a number of years being involved in the solar energy market, has established relationships across the globe in relation to the trading of commodities. His robust approach to the adherence of International Trading Standards ensures that the company can work with our partners in a transparent and honest manner.
